Romanian Red, which originated from Romania, delivers a fiery first bite, followed by a rich, nutty complexity that lingers on the palate. Romanian Red is known for its distinct aroma, easy-to-peel cloves (4-6), and high allicin content, which makes this variety a favorite among both chefs and herbalists. Romanian Red has a long storage life if kept dry, in cool, dark, well-ventilated storage.
 
*Do not store whole garlic bulbs in the refrigerator until after they have been peeled or minced. Peeled garlic can also be stored in the freezer for later use.
 
 
Culinary varieties can be shipped straight from the field fresh (July) or about a month later after it's been cured. Please note which you prefer at checkout. 
 
Our culinary garlic bulbs are between 1.5-2 inches in diameter. All Seed quality bulbs will be over 2 inches in diameter. Largest bulbs will be sent first in order of received orders, so be sure and get your order in early for best selection.
